My hope comes from strength and confidence. I know that the lord is in charge and that I am here to follow the path he has set for me. I always put my trust and faith in the lord and hope just comes naturally after that.
I honestly could not think of a song that reminds me of my first love. That would be a whole other blog post so I wont go there. For now I will just leave you with a song I hoped would have reminded me of my first love.....
Last summer was not very memorable......I choose this song cause it was on the radio all summer.
This is a sad one. My best friend passed away from Cancer in september 2004 and that was one of the most difficult times in my life so far. I was not prepared for her to die so young even though I knew she was fighting cancer. When she died I was in shock and could not feel anything for the whole month. I celebrate her life and keep her memory alive but there will always be that sense of loss and pain assoicated with Septemer for me.
This one is my ring tone. Maybe that explains why it is always stuck in my head. Bugle is one of the best lyricists in reggae music right now. "Journeys" sums up my attitude towards life.....

I have to admit that Buju Banton, one of my favorite artists of all time take sthe prize for this one.... What more can I need to calm me down? This one works every single time. I even have a CD with just this one song on it!
My mom loves Beres Hammond. I remember one summer he performed at a free concert in Brooklyn and we got turned away because the concert was packed 3 hours before the concert was scheduled to begin. My mom cried and we ended up staying outside and watching his performance on big screen TV's from outside. Beres has a lot of hits to choose from but this is her favorite because it reminds her of the good old days.
