Family Time: Ziggy Marley

I recently spoke with someone who had been diagnosed with a terminal illness. He knew his days were numbered and seemed very determined to spend his last days getting his business in order and trying to set everything up so that his family will be taken care of after he passed away. I was very impressed and inspired by his strength and appreciation for life. He was very focused on enjoying his family and preparing them for life without him.

I could not help thinking what would I do? What would I be thinking or doing? A hedonistic part of me wants to say that it would be like the movie The Holiday or The Bucket List where I travel and try to see and do all the things in life I've always wanted to do. Then I think about this fellow and all the memories he plans to make with his family before his time comes and I think about my two greatest loves in life. I couldn't see a better end to my days than having a big party with all my family and lots of great reggae music.
Kinda like the scene in the song below. How great would it be to have your final moments on this earth a fun filled one that your family will remember forever? I wonder what thoughts wants or wishes would you have if you knew your life was gonna end soon. Please share a line!

Uplifting Reggae.....One Love (Bob Marley)

Get up and dance people. I have to start the new year off with this song. This song speaks for itself. Love is universal, if ever there was a song that I would want to be played in every corner in the world it would be this one......
In 2010 I encourage you to love 100% more than you think you possibly can. Love your brothers, love your sisters......god damn......love your hater's and your enemies too. Let's kill them with love in 2010.........

Uplifting Reggae.....Stronger (Fantan Mojan)

I just love this song. The first time I heard this song, I knew that it would it my song for 2009.......

Basically the whole message of this song is that as long as we keep forging on and pushing ahead in life we will become stronger because we are blessed by god ("Jah"/"Selassie"). Check out Fantan Mojah on myspace. His music exudes with positivity and hope. My two personal favorites from his latest album "Hail The King" are "you can make it" and "Fight to survive". Both songs are on his myspace page. Take a listen and see what Fantan Mojah is all about for yourself........

Uplifting Reggae.......Lift Up Your Head (Everton Blender)

There are days when we just need to hear a song with a very powerful and positive message to keep us going on the sometimes rough road of life. This song speaks volumes on staying focused in life, having self confidence, living honestly and proudly and not feeding into the negativity around us.
Everton Blender is a Reggae Artist that always produces songs that help us to deal with the challenges of life.

Whatever our challenges are, it is important for us to keep the big picture in mind and not get distracted by the difficulties that life throws on us every now and then. Things work out for the best in the end most times........ And when they don't? Well we still have to keep strong and keep going to overcome the next obstacle that's waiting for us down the road.
